Trick-can-Treat is BAM’s annual Halloween event. Every year for the past 5 years, BAM has been volunteering to collect cans on Halloween night to donated to the Minnesota Emergency Food Network. Last year we raised over 2,500 lbs of food for the emergency food shelter, shattering our goal for the year and awarding us Carlson’s Community Service Award. We are continuing this annual event on Friday, October 31, 2008.
A week before Halloween a bunch of volunteers and the BAM Board go to a neighborhood around the Twin Cities to ask residents to start collecting canned food to give to a food shelter and also put up flyers. Then, Halloween night, we will go and collect the non-perishable food items. Afterward all participating students are welcomed to unwind at Starbucks with free drinks and goodie-bags provided by BAM.
This year we plan to have the biggest Trick-can-Treat yet! Please join us this year in our cause “Fall Fight for Hunger.”
